Street Fighter x Tekken: January Reveals trailer

Woot, it’s been a while since the last Street Fighter x Tekken mention. This is a BIG ONE! Why? 6 of the most popular characters and most asked about characters shall be entering the crossover world. What we have now is 3 characters each on the Street Fighter and Tekken side. For the Street Fighter end, we have Balrog, Vega, and Juri. On the Tekken side, we have Paul, Law, and Xiaoyu. I can definitely see that this game’s buzz is going to go right up with the introduction of the characters.

One of the things that really stood out to me in this game is the tag combos! Balrog and Vega (Mike Bison and Balrog in the Japanese version) look like the perfect match as far as combos are concerned. It’s quite obvious actually seeing as they were a part of what was called “The Grand Masters”. Basically, Street Fighter 2 had 8 main characters you could pick, and the last four (Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and M. Bison) were the 4 grand masters of the tournament. So, it’s only right that they rep together on this game. You see the sheer power and speed of Balrog’s punches, and you see the dexterity, the agility, and elusiveness of Vega all in one go. INCREDIBLE! Let’s not forget Juri as she made quite a splash in Street Fighter 4. Her style is like none other!

Also, let’s not flake on the Tekken side. Law and Paul! The classic duo since the first Tekken! What more can be said. If you’ve played Tekken Tag Tournament, you already know what it is! Paul has gotten his power on point with simple yet deadly accurate power punches. You see that in the tag combo. Of course, Law has the excellent speed and power of the late/great Bruce Lee. Of course, he has the bravado and character to back that up as well! Let’s not forget Ms. Ling Xiaoyu. A fan favorite for many reasons. Her mix ups, juggle ability, and just the fact she’s a mad stylish character. This will definitely up the ante in this game! This is just January! Who knows what’s in store for the final cut!
