Props to Capcom Unity for posting the IGN interview of the makers of “Street Fighter: Legacy”.

Here’s a great interview on the recent cult film “Street Fighter: Legacy”. This came out May 2, 2010. Even though, it’s only a 3:12 clip, it has more substance than any live action Americanized movie or cartoon (a la Street Fighter USA). It’s a shame that Capcom spent probably over 50 million dollars on the film but cannot deliver. The game already has a great storyline – why butcher it? At any rate, the interview is really great and you get to see the mindset of not only the first trial in Street Fighter: Legacy but the preliminary steps for continuation. I definitely would love to see a weekly series…co-creator, Joey Ansah, makes a valid point in that regard because Street Fighter is far too complex just to have one film. There are many characters that connect to the storyline. A series would definitely do it justice. With over 1.4 million views, how can Capcom ignore such a strong response? These are CORE fans..not some regular casual gamer or typical “ooo let’s go watch Street Fighter because of the special effects and random fight sequences” type of people. Capcom, please be smart, and take heed to the ground work of something that has the potential to be great not only for your company, but the FANS as well. Without further ado, here’s the interview and don’t forget to buy your copy of Super Street Fighter IV in stores now :
