Man, this is really sad news for me, but I guess it’s necessary. Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune, is taking a permanent leave from Capcom. Inafune states that he has reached his peak as far as his role with Capcom has a lead producer/developer. He has no quarrels with Capcom, saying it’s “a truly a good company”. This comes directly from Inafune, “It would probably be good for me to sit gracefully in this seat and become a leading figure in the industry.” “However, I cannot do this. Settling down means death for a creator. As long as you are a creator, you cannot settle down.” As sad as I am about this recent news, I can understand. Keiji has brought some incredible ideas, and Mega Man is one of my most favorite characters. As a little parting gift, I shall post the Mega Man stupidity clip below this post.
