I know the basis of creating this track was simply to response to Nicki Minaj putting Chun-Li in the rhyme she did for Willow Smith’s “Fireball”. Yes, I know the Kikoken is a fireball, but that’s besides the point. At any rate, I REALLY like what MaxieDaMan did on this track. Took his frustrations and inspiration to channel some old school Street Fighter ish. Now, what you have here is an excellent remix of the classic Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Chun-Li theme song with a hint of modernization!

Although, the track is only 1:18, it’s really sickening. I mean, the drum kick adds a pretty cool Hip-Hop flava to the joint. So cats can already bop their heads to it. Also, it has a hint of Street Fighter 3rd strike, which definitely takes it a step up because the beats in that game were straight up insane. I love the background sound which has that kind of underlaying old Street Fighter feel, which makes the track sound more melodic to it’s sort of boom bap overtone. Great touch. And what really put me over the top were the sound bytes of Chun-Li’s special moves. Overall, one of the greatest tracks ever. I could honestly speed this up or at least use the sound bytes to make pretty cool stuff. Today’s Music Monday is Bird Kick Flow by MaxieDaMan!!! Enjoy!!! Oh yeah, if u don’t know what I’m talking about as far as the Nicki Minaj reference, check out the video to Fireball here.
